Welcome to Slovenski Dom and MOYA Financial virtual seminar series. This is our fourth seminar.

It is titled, “70 Wonderful Years of Slovenian Polka in Canada” by Walter Ostanek. Walter won three Grammys for best polka album (1992, 1993 and 1994) and was nominated for 13 in total, in more that half-century long career. He was also recipient of Order of Canada and is known as “Canada’s Polka King”

The main purpose of this virtual seminar series is to connect with you during this COVID-19 pandemic. The second reason is to promote and preserve Slovenian culture, language, heritage and identity in Canada.

If you are interested in studying in Slovenia, you are welcome to attend the online presentation of Slovenian universities. The presentation prepared by the Study in Slovenia team will be held on Thursday, 18 November, at 2pm (CET) and is intended specifically for Slovenians living abroad.

You will obtain useful information about living and studying in Slovenia, as well as about the benefits of having a student status. You will also have the opportunity to meet representatives of the University of Ljubljana, the University of Maribor, the University of Primorska and the University of Nova Gorica.

The presentation will be in Slovenian.

You can also attend the presentation in English, which will take place on Wednesday, 17 February, at 2pm (CET).
